Dine in Maryland at the Newly Opened My Melody Cafe!

Expect lots of strawberries, gardens, pink and of course, My Melody!

We are sure that most of you guys would know who is My Melody, right? But just in case, My Melody is an adorable, good-natured bunny from Sanrio, first debuted in 1976. And now,
she’s back with her very own character cafe in Singapore! The theme is a fantasy garden and strawberry paradise that is bursting with pink! Even My Melody herself dons a special strawberry and pink checkered bow on her hood, exclusively at this cafe! Settle yourself down at the al fresco style dining area and browse the menu of everything and anything My Melody! Can’t decide what to pick? No problem, check out what we got.

Halo Taco ($25)

Start off the My Melody feast with some Halo Tacos! These are tacos filled with beef bulgogi, laid onto some fresh romaine lettuce and served with some tropical salsa. For some added colour and to match the whole garden theme, they are served with fresh mixed berries! Cool, right? The tacos themselves are savoury and satisfying, but the salsa adds a refreshing zing to it!

Princess Bunny ($18.90)

Up next, the Princess Bunny! It’s cutesy take on the Japanese curry rice. It’s Japanese rice shaped like My Melody served with pink curry, chicken karaage, carrots, mushrooms and so forth. The rice and the curry are infused with beetroot to give it a vibrant pink colour. So don’t worry about the artificial colourings as there is none in this dish. With so many different toppings, textures and colours, even kids can enjoy this dish!

Moving on to the best part: dessert! There are so many desserts to choose from, but there are two that you must try. Firstly, the Treasures of Maryland. It is a thick Brioche toast served with vanilla soft serve, strawberries, My Melody macarons and other sweet treats. Cut open the buttery brioche toast and eat it together with the soft serve and strawberries. This is a decadent dessert that is not overly sweet and goes great with a cup of tea!

Play Time Fondue ($22.50)

If you prefer something that is lighter, the Play Time Fondue is a good choice for you! You will get pink chocolate fondue and platter with an assortment of goodies such as marshmallows, fruits and vanilla sponge cake. You know what to do with a fondue; pick your favourite treat and dip them generously into the chocolate. This is a fun dessert, and it’s great for sharing amongst your friends.

On Cloud Nine ($8.50)

While you’re here, be sure to get one of their drinks! For something light and refreshing, try out their On Cloud Nine drink. It is a mixed berries iced tea topped with fluffy cotton candy and diced strawberries on top! You can drink the tea and eat the cotton candy separately or mix everything up together for some added sweetness. One sip of this drink and you will be on cloud nine!

Merry-Donut-Go ($12.90)

However, if you want something richer, the Merry-Donut-Go-Round is just the thing for you. It’s a strawberry milkshake topped with a white chocolate frosted donut, whipped cream and garnished with pink sprinkles! This sweet pink strawberry milkshake is like a dessert and drink in one. We recommend it to those people with a sweet tooth!

Of course, there is more to try out at the My Melody Cafe, but these are a few you can start with! Head on down for a pink and strawberry themed meal and even photo ops with My Melody, her garden and cottage! And even if you’re not a fan of My Melody, you still would enjoy the experience of dining in this garden cafe!
