Noods & Meats: A Hidden Muslim-Owned Smokehouse in Yishun

We all know that Yishun has been pretty popular for various reasons, some of them quite strange. However, there is one really good reason on why Yishun is popular, and that is Noods & Meats.

Noods & Meats is a Muslim-Owned halal eatery that serves up in-house smoked meat and other western dishes with a local twist! Chef Firdauz and his team perform their magic in the kitchen with their smoker, transforming ordinary ingredients into extraordinary fusion food.

If you want to taste the real deal of the smoker, you need to get the meat dishes. Noods & Meats uses almond wood from the US to smoke the meat as it is a more cost effective option as compared to oak wood.


For starters, you could get the Texas Briskets which are beef briskets smoked for over 12 hours. Just imagine the kind of deep smoky flavours the briskets will have! The meat and sides are served on top of a banana leaf for more of a local touch. (Anything served on a banana leaf tastes better right?)

Craving for a good steak in Singapore? Get the Shiok Aged Ribeye. Now, who can resist dry-aged beef, especially ribeye! This ribeye has been dry aged for about 15 to 20 days, making the meat more tender and flavourful. Together with their special Shiok sauce, you’re going to go to meat heaven. The dish also comes with fresh veggies like asparagus and a side of your choice.

One word: Awesomeness.


Since you’re here, why not get some noods (noodles) as well. Their pastas are homemade, and each dish definitely has a local twist to it! Just check out the Ayam Sambal Kick Spaghetti AKA Di Kicap which is a smoked chicken served with spaghetti, special sambal kichap sauce and shredded cabbage.

The sauce is sweet and spicy, and it goes so well with the spaghetti! Squeeze the lime all over for a little refreshing zing to the dish. This is how you do Western-local fusion food.


Check out their new menu items: the Torpedo Fish Rice Bowl and the Chili Cheese Nachos. The rice bowl is deep fried battered dory fish fillets served with their signature butter rice. For those of you who are not impressed yet, wait till you see the star of this. Hae Bee Hiam AKA spicy dried shrimp sambal. This even adds a spicy kick and cuts through the richness of the rice and the fish!

Snack on some Chili Cheese Nachos in between your meat fest. These nachos come with chicken, jalapeno chillies and lots of cheese. Light, crunchy and cheesy, they can be a meal by itself. But of course, they are perfect to share with while you eat your pasta and meat. Definitely come early as their in-house smoked meat and other food are extremely popular amongst the Yishunites there.
