One of the best French patisserie in town!

worth every calorie @ Mad About Sucre

This is possibly the one of the only few Patisserie where anybody wouldn’t mind spending their calories on.

Mad About Sucre serves meticulously prepared fine French confectionery. This European styled cakery specialises in customising handcrafted wedding, birthday and celebratory cakes. However, they also offer small slices of cakes of those only to be found in fine-dining atas restaurant.

From the moment we stepped into this store, we were taken aback by its colourful and chic space. Beautifully decorated interior with their unique bespoke cakes, outstanding furniture and lightly played French music.

With much attention placed on its interior, Mad About Sucre is also very detailed when it comes to their desserts. Everything is customised and made using only organic ingredients. Just like how the best restaurants of the world change their menus seasonally, Mad About Sucre also changes theirs regularly, continually surprising and tantalising our palates with new creations.

We got the E.TI. It is made with cold dripped espresso coffee, dark chocolate, organic almonds, Spanish mandarin orange, nut sponge and chantilly cream.

This cake, taking on a spaceship appearance, packs a punch with their multiple layers of goodness. The taste of incredibly sweet bliss being condensed into a tangible and edible form. While we were eating this, we wondered if Mad About Sucre got its inspiration from the classic Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Well, it kind of looks like it.

Making every penny worth, a pot of tea is given free with every dessert purchased.

In addition to the delightful, delicate cakes, Western Provincial Dining is also available here.
