This year’s theme “Autumn Abundance”, depict scenes of harvest and abundance, including one of a fishing village, called Waters Of Prosperity, at the Dragonfly Lake. These lantern sets symbolise the bountiful harvests and good fortune.
100 giant satin dragonflies will light up at night in the brilliant colours of the rainbow, as part of the Gardens’ annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. This event will be one of the country’s largest lantern light-ups.
Also, do check out the “Illuminations Of Joy”. It is a community project where beneficiaries from 30 voluntary welfare organisations created about 1,000 light installations that’s hang all around the Silver Garden.
A series of nightly cultural performances and craft booths offering activities like lantern decorating, umbrella painting and Chinese knotting will be available. If you are looking for more entertainment, there are also games where visitors can enjoy. Feeling hungry? Head down to the food street featuring Asian delights.
There is so much do to here at this festival. This event is a must visit considering it has free admission for selected venues.
