There are so many cafes and dessert places in Singapore these days. The only few things that can distinguish themselves from the others are the creativity, appearance and taste of the food.
The new addition to the “cafe land” of Tiong Bahru is “Cream & Custard”.
Cream & Custard has a simple, white and clean layout. Nothing too extravagant to blend into the neighbourhood of Jalan Bukit Ho Swee. The minimalistic design of the store made it so calming to the soul. A perfect place to devour a delicious yet lovely pastry while you read a book.
Although the layout of the store is simple, you can be sure that the desserts will blow your mind away. Their rather colourful, creative and petite sized pastries and cakes are neatly displayed to capture your attention. If their pastries are not considered “insta-worthy”, I do not know what is.
Magical Unicorn Poop
How can anybody say no to this? This is indefinitely something so magical. This raspberry mousse, vanilla cake with lemon cookie base is topped with rainbow glaze and popping candy, being sure to pop its way to the top of your desserts list.
Just take a look at it, it’s so pleasing to the eyes. This “Unicorn Poop” is baked perfectly with their light and airy mousse and moist vanilla cake. It simply melts in your mouth.
The Black Ball
For the chocolate lovers, The Black Ball comes highly recommended. A dark chocolate sphere filled with Passionfruit curd and 66% Valrhona chocolate mousse. It comes with a hot dark chocolate sauce to be poured over the “ball”. Watch in awe as the black ball slowly disintegrate.
